Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Hurley.
Hi Natalie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
When my mother was pregnant, she started doing graphic design and photography. Design is in my blood! I’ve always wanted to learn photography and learned by watching my mom and other friends. My favorite part of photography is getting to know my clients and creating an aesthetic picture or scene. I specialize in flash photography, branding, headshots, and themed photoshoots. I am constantly thinking of ideas for photoshoots!
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I’ve been trying to network in the photography community and stand out in an oversaturated market. I hope I can continue to meet and create with other fellow creatives!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am proud of how I’ve grown from my first client to now. I’ve taken the time to learn more about editing and getting the picture right before fixing all the mistakes. I’m all about flash photography, that vintage and classic look! My goal is to focus on helping other small businesses get branded. I don’t do weddings or couples at the moment.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love how friendly the Kansas City community is. Many small business owners I’ve met aren’t afraid to ask for help!
