Today we’d like to introduce you to Koko & Company KC.

Hi Kendlle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up on a farm north of Kansas City! We had cows, horses, dogs, and cats. I was fortunate enough to go to school in the small town I lived close to, and really dreamed of being a businesswoman one day. I was the type of person who loved so may things that it was hard to choose what path I wanted to go down as far as a career.

After I graduated high school, I attended Lindenwood University near St. Louis, MO, and had a four year career in private aviation. I graduated from Lindenwood University in 2020 with my Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. I have always loved creating, and knew that I wanted to own my own business. In early 2021, I finally came up with a business idea where I could combine many of my passions: creating, real estate, and business. That is Koko & Company KC.

Today, I am working incredibly hard to build my business and am so blessed to work my clients on a daily basis. This business has transformed my life and has been an outlet for the creativity that naturally flows through my veins. I can only see this getting bigger and better as I learn how to sustainably scale my business.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
When I started this business, I didn’t necessarily see it as a career path. I looked at it as a side hustle that would help me pay the bills. After I got started, I realized that it could be so much more. As I realized that it was going to be an actual business, learning how to do all of the legal requirements and tax documents has been a real struggle. Otherwise, I am learning how to run it on a daily basis. Regardless of a few bumps in the road, we are growing and loving it!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I provide many design services to small businesses in the KC area, but specialize in real estate marketing. The main service I offer is social media management, part-time and full-time. I also offer logos, email signatures, websites, flyers, business cards, packets, and social media setup!

How do you think about happiness?
Koko & Company makes me genuinely happy. Helping my clients love the look of their business makes me so thrilled to be a small business owner in Kansas City!
