Today we’d like to introduce you to Keshia Pietz.
Hi Keshia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story has always been one of unexpected turns and quiet nudges from God. For years, I worked in ministry and communications, helping others share their stories and create spaces where people could feel seen and connected. I never imagined photography would become such a big part of my own story. it started as a way to serve. I began taking photos for our church, for friends, and for small events, simply wanting to capture moments that reflected His goodness.
Somewhere along the way, God began stirring something deeper. What started as a small act of obedience turned into a passion that I couldn’t ignore. I realized how much beauty there is in freezing moments that tell a story, a bride’s quiet breath before walking down the aisle, a mom holding her baby close, the laughter in between poses. Those are the moments that remind us how faithful God is in every season.
Today, I run my business, and it’s more than just a photography business to me, it’s ministry through art. I get to meet incredible people, step into some of the most meaningful days of their lives, and document the love, joy, and presence of God woven throughout it all. It hasn’t always been an easy path, but I’ve seen His hand in every open door and every challenge. My hope is that when people look back at their photos, they don’t just see images, they feel peace, connection, and the reminder that their story is deeply loved and worth remembering.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I don’t think it was ever meant to be. God has used every challenge to shape my heart and deepen my faith.
When I first started, I struggled a lot with doubt and comparison. It’s easy to look around and feel like you’re behind or not “enough.” There were seasons when bookings were slow, or I questioned whether I was really called to do this. I had to learn to trust that even in the waiting and uncertainty, God was still working, preparing me for what was next.
Balancing family life and business has also stretched me in ways I never expected. As a wife and mom, it can be hard to juggle it all and still create from a place of peace. But I’ve learned that the same God who called me to this work also gives me the strength and grace to sustain it.
Every setback has become a reminder that I’m not doing this alone. Looking back, I can see how the hardest seasons, the ones that felt like detours, were actually the places where God was building deeper roots in me, both personally and creatively.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Through my business, I get to capture stories that feel honest, intentional, and full of heart. I specialize in wedding and portrait photography, documenting love stories, families, and the in-between moments that often go unnoticed but mean the most. My approach is rooted in connection; I want people to feel seen and cared for, not just beautifully photographed.
I think what I’m most known for is creating a space where people can be fully themselves. My clients often tell me they felt peace, joy, and comfort in front of my camera and that’s exactly what I hope for. I want every session to feel like you’re spending time with a friend who sees you the way God does: full of purpose, light, and beauty.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the images themselves, but the way God continues to use this work to impact others. Photography has become a form of ministry for me and an opportunity to remind people that their story matters.
Every wedding, every session, every tear or laugh caught in between… it’s all sacred to me.
What sets me apart is the heart behind the lens. I don’t want to just take photos; I want to create something that lasts beyond the day with images that feel alive, that bring people back to how they felt. My hope is that when people look back on their photos, they’re reminded of how deeply loved and seen they are, both by the people in the frame and by the One who created them.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing the beauty in the ordinary: those small, sacred moments that remind me of God’s goodness. It’s the way light pours into my living room in the morning, the laughter of my kids, worship in the quiet, or watching a couple hold each other after saying “I do.” Those are the glimpses of heaven on earth that fill my heart.
I find so much joy in connection with God, with people, and with the stories He’s writing. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, spending time with my family, or sharing encouragement, I feel the most alive when I’m living with purpose and gratitude. Joy doesn’t always come from big moments; for me, it’s found in slowing down, being present, and recognizing that every good thing, no matter how small, is a gift from Him.
