Today we’d like to introduce you to Justis (Juice4ver) Stone.
Hi Justis (Juice4ver), thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started with my father who was a local rapper from wyandotte who was well respected in his community. I grew up watching him chase his dreams and it rubbed off on me he use to have me pass out CDs and flyers for him when I was in middle school then when I got in high school I decided to make music of my own with my friends then after a while it turned into me producing and engineering music. Feeling the need to grow creatively and seeing the way things were going with this era of content creation about a couple of years ago i bought a camera and started experimenting with the visual side then I decided to launch my media company this year called treehouse productions that is focused towards shooting content for creatives around the city in which majority of them are artists that I produce music for but am open to work with any brand or businesses.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest obstacle I had in my journey was the passing of my father. He was my mentor and biggest influence and the person that I came to when I needed advice.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work includes music production, audio engineering, photography and videography pretty much anything that has to do with audio or visual arts but my main focus rn is creating quality video content and producing music for the artists that I’ve built relationships with
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
My favorite book is the subtle art of not giving a f*ck and a recent book I’ve been reading is how to win friends and influence people I feel like there’s some gems in there. I like books that I can read and apply to my life to help me grow as a person. When it comes to editing visuals or content I use davinci resolve and Lightroom and I use FL studio to produce my music.
