Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Douglas.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started out as a comedian who wanted to get myself more bookings. Thus the Comedian Company was born. Since those early days in 2004 we have grown to a national booking agency for comedians. We now have a staff of 4 and work with almost 2,000 comedians nationally. We’re proud to work with great comedians and love bringing laughter to all kinds of events.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth … Hahaha. You should be a comedian! Like any business we had some bumps in the early years. Luckily we were able to stay profitable and most importantly learn what was working and what was holding us back. Becoming a true team instead of individuals was our secret sauce!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a comedian and booker of almost 2,000 comedians coast to coast. We love booking shows in the KC area, but it’s really cool to have booked comedians in every state and in 4 countries! We are known for clean comedians for corporate events. We want customers to have a great time and not an H.R. nightmare 🙂
What sets us apart is because I’m a comedian and not just an “agent” I understand what makes a show successful for the performers behind the scenes. That and I have a great staff that is nsync with my vision.

- $2,500 + corporate comedians
- $5,000 + celebrity comedians
