Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Noland.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi! I’m Hannah Noland. I am a wife, mom, and content creator, and I have also begun pursuing acting. I have always had a deep love for movies and television and the impact that stories can have on people during different seasons of life. I’ve always been especially drawn to stories that make people feel something deeply, whether that’s joy, inspiration, connection, or even fear.
I followed a more traditional path, earning my college degree, getting married, and starting a family. During that season of life, I was looking for a creative outlet, which led me to start creating content on social media. Over time, I discovered how much I loved the creative process and the opportunity to connect with people through what I was sharing.
About two years ago, I decided to take a chance on something I had always been curious about and began pursuing acting. I created a Backstage profile, and not long after, I was contacted about an audition opportunity. That opportunity led to me booking my first feature film, Paralysis, a psychological horror/thriller that is currently in post-production.
Last summer, I also had the opportunity to take on my first lead role in a short film, Notes on Jane, which is also currently in post-production. I am incredibly grateful that I decided to go for it and chase a dream of mine. This journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m excited to continue growing as a creative.
I am very passionate about storytelling and the power it has to encourage, inspire, and connect people. I love that stories can make people feel seen, offer perspective, and remind us that we are not alone.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any creative journey, it has come with its own challenges. One of the biggest has been stepping into an industry that was completely new to me and allowing myself to be vulnerable while learning the craft. I have always been naturally introverted, so putting myself in situations where I had to step outside of my comfort zone has been a significant growth experience. At the same time, it has been incredibly invigorating to put myself out there, embrace a new creative outlet, and discover a part of myself that I hadn’t explored before. After booking my first role, I wanted to approach acting with intentionality and respect for the craft, so I began taking acting classes to continue developing my skills and understanding the process. Learning to embrace vulnerability, receive feedback, and trust myself has been challenging at times, but it has also been extremely rewarding. Balancing this journey with my family life has also taught me to be intentional about the opportunities I pursue.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work centers around storytelling, creativity, and connection. I began creating content on social media over a decade ago, which allowed me to explore my creativity and connect with others. More recently, I have expanded into acting, where I’ve had the opportunity to be part of projects like Paralysis and Notes on Jane, both currently in post-production.
What I am most proud of is having the courage to pursue a new creative path and continue growing through each opportunity. I believe what sets me apart is my passion for storytelling and my willingness to step outside of my comfort zone. As someone who has always been naturally introverted, choosing to pursue acting has been one of the most rewarding ways I’ve challenged myself, and I hope my journey encourages others to pursue the things they’ve always been curious about.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is the importance of giving yourself permission to pursue the things that spark something inside of you. For a long time, acting was something I was curious about but never explored, and taking that first step reminded me that our dreams and interests don’t have an expiration date. I’ve also learned that some of the biggest growth happens when we step outside of our comfort zone and are willing to try something new. Pursuing acting has challenged me in ways I never expected, but it has also shown me what I’m capable of and given me the confidence to continue growing along the way.
