Check Out Hanna Rogers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Rogers.

Hanna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
First, I would like to say thank you so much
for this incredible opportunity.

My name is Hanna, I am 27 years old, and I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. From a young age, I developed a strong passion for the beauty industry, encompassing hair, makeup, and fashion. I vividly remember growing up watching *America’s Next Top Model*, which greatly influenced my interests.

I graduated from high school early, though at the time, I was unsure of my career direction. Education never quite resonated with me, so I pursued a career in cosmetology, where I worked as a hairstylist for several years.

After some time, I realized I wanted to broaden my horizons and explore life beyond Kansas City. Coming from a small town, I felt there was much more to experience, which led me to enlist in the military. After completing a four year tour overseas, I have now returned home.

Recently, a close friend and I launched a business called Lavish Picnics, which we are excited to see grow, especially this spring. Additionally, I have been modeling for just over a year, a path that I unexpectedly fell into but have come to deeply enjoy. It allows me to express myself and embrace my confidence, and I hope to inspire younger women to realize they can achieve anything—whether it’s serving in the military or pursuing their beauty aspirations.

In addition to my modeling and business ventures, I am also a partner in, TruScope Property Group, a property inspection & mobile notary company. If you ever need a home inspection, feel free to reach out!

That’s a brief overview of my journey thus far.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course not, everyone is always going to face challenges. I think it’s how you handle them that matters. Basic training for starters, if anything it’s more mental than it is physical. Then the military as a whole, m being in an environment with all men and constantly having to prove that you’re good enough. On top of this being the first time I was away from home and during Covid in a foreign country, all by myself. I’m also the oldest of five kids so I’ve had to grow up extremely quickly. I’ve always been very independent and able to adapt the situations quickly. But this was definitely a struggle for me at first. You have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Modeling has become a significant part of my daily life. I recently began walking the runway, and I have to say, it’s almost as nerve-wracking as jumping out of planes—something I did during my time in the military. As a parachute rigger, my responsibility was to pack the parachutes used by all the jumpers. Surprisingly, walking down the runway can feel even more intimidating than that! This journey has allowed me to connect with many incredible individuals and discover numerous local brands in Kansas City. I truly enjoy meeting new people and building meaningful relationships.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m a really big homebody. I work a lot, so when I’m not on the go, you can usually find me at home. Over the past two years, I’ve dedicated a lot of time to focusing on myself and rediscovering who I am, and it’s been an amazing journey. I love traveling whenever I get the chance, as it allows me to explore new places and experiences. Coming from a close knit family, I cherish the time I spend with my them; they mean the world to me. And I can’t forget to mention my adorable French bulldog, Stella, who brings so much joy to my life!
