Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Watson- Denson.

Hi Erin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Erin Monae Watson-Denson. I was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. During my childhood, I was surrounded by entrepreneurs in my family. From flower shops, beauty and barber shops, and restaurants.

In 2013, I began my college career at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX (right outside of Houston). This was the time in my life when I was exposed to EVERYTHING beauty and fashion!

During my freshman year in college (2013), my hair was so damaged and short, I knew it was time for a “Big Chop”. After my hair appointment, I went straight to the beauty supply store to purchase my first wig; at this point, I couldn’t get sew-ins because my hair was so short and lace wigs weren’t popular yet. So I had to settle for a wig from the beauty supply.

After spending $400 on wigs from the beauty supply store, in one month. I knew I could make my wig exactly how I wanted, using quality hair from my current vendor. April 2014, I made my first wig for myself on my living room floor. After much prayer, practice, and testing of my products. I started my business, Wigs by Erin Monae, LLC in September 2014.

In August 2017, we officially launched WIGSBYERINMONAE.COM where we make Wig Shopping easy. Our online store allows our clients and new customers to customize their look from the comfort of their phone or computer.

Wigs by Erin Monae has evolved into a brand that serves women worldwide with high-end quality wigs. When we look good, we feel good!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
During the time, I was working my corporate job, I had to ask myself; “Would you rather go hard building up someone else’s brand/company, or would you rather go hard for your brand?” That was the moment I decided to take the gift God has blessed me with, more seriously.

Entrepreneurship has its challenges and requires more discipline, but this journey has been so rewarding. I am doing what I love while blessing others at the same time.

Wigs by Erin Monae, LLC is a brand that specializes in making custom wig units. Our specialty is providing the most natural HD Lace closure wig units to our clients. The textures we provide are Raw Brazilian Diamond straight, Raw Luxe wave, and Raw Island curly.

All hair is raw, top quality, never mixed, and hair comes in a natural dark brown color only. No chemical smells, cuticles aligned, each bundle is from a SINGLE donor, minimal shedding, and no tangling. We offer worldwide shipping and overnight shipping (to U.S. clients only at an additional fee).

Our brand has successfully served customers for several years around the world. We continue to provide individualized care to guarantee client satisfaction. We are a brand that firmly believes in giving back to individuals who are in need, suffered loss, and tragedy. Community service has continued to be our focal point and recipe for success.

This brand sponsors cancer survivors worldwide, by donating custom units to women who have battled and survived breast cancer. This initiative is conducted every year during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The CEO and Founder are Erin Monae Denson.

I never understood why until I started my own business.
