Check Out Dan John’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan John.

Hi Dan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Started moving as a college job in Boston. Always picked up work and frequently came back to moving full time when new ventures did not work out. Moved to Savannah in 2022 found myself between work about 6 months in. Started a moving company.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smoother than expected but lots of bumps and hurdles. Making moving the full time thing took about 6 months. Finding work was an early difficulty. Navigating entrepreneurship in your 20s and finding guidance was a challenge. Learning to ask for help.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a local independent moving company. Proud of creating jobs and giving back to the community. Attending events like trunk or treat. We are the standup company that strives for excellence. When we fall short we make things right.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
A lot more AI answering systems and overseas virtual assistants. Our plan is to be the company that stays truly local. We will be the company that answers the phone with a real local employee.
