Check Out Courtney Roberts’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Roberts.

Hi Courtney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started influencing back in 2018 when I would get asked about my books and clothes all the time. At first, I didn’t want to do a blog or influencing because I felt who am I to showcase my life like it’s something unique. Then I realized everyone has things unique about them and if the people want to see it why not give it to them! I’ve met some amazing people along the way and love what I do now. After blogging/influencing for a couple of years, I thought why am I advertising other people’s clothing when I could do my own and really showcase my true style. That’s when I opened my own online boutique at www.classiccourt.com. I am loving still showcasing other brands that I love but my own as well. I also am a part of a committee at Hope House which is close to my heart. My love for fashion, books and the community in KC continues to grow and look forward to all future endeavors!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not always smooth but with social media, I take it with a grain of salt. People will criticize and judge but mostly it’s been pretty positive! I always try to show my real, raw true self with no filters because really there’s enough of that on social media.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I, first and foremost, am a wife and mom to two adorable kids. I doing influencing for fashion, food, and book review with my book lover community. I love meeting new people. I also run my boutique with the help of my husband and 13 years old daughter.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Get out of your comfort zone and meet new people. Show your raw true self because that’s what people really want to see!
