Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Freeman.
Brooke, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Brooke Freeman, and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I currently attend the University of Kansas, where I study Journalism and Mass Communications. I am a part of the track and field team, as well as a group called Her Campus. I started taking content creation seriously last summer of 2024, and ever since then, I’ve been completely obsessed with being able to use my creativity in a way that brings me so much joy, and also helps other people. Being able to learn about social media and everything it entails does have its challenges, but it’s so rewarding. I’ve always enjoyed being on social media platforms just watching for entertainment, and I thought, one day, why not me? And that’s all it takes to get the ball rolling.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Many people think being a content creator and influencer isn’t a real job and that everyone can do it. But that’s far from the truth. Everyone has their own journeys and starts from different places, as well as has different niches they like to focus on. Some struggles I’ve had are the fear of being perceived. As well as learning how to edit and make content appealing for an audience to watch, while still staying true to who I am. You never know how hard or easy something is until you try it yourself. There’s never anything wrong with trying new things or being the first person you know to do it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The niche I like to make content about is called lifestyle content. Which for me is everything from beauty, fashion, video games, modeling, working out, going to different events, and anything else I want to make content on. Most people know me by my username Bxrbie.freemann, which some people have thought is my real name. I’m proud of myself that I’ve been able to continue my content creation journey no matter how many bumps I run into. I’m proud of all the support I’ve gotten from friends, family, and even strangers. As well as my first ever social media coverage opportunity, I had with Kansas City Fashion Week for the S/S 2025 season!
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that most people don’t know about my content creation and what I post, is that I’ve been running track since I was 7 years old. Being in sports and working out has always been in my lifestyle. I also have had lots of people think I’m a model when I’ve never had any prior experience until recently this year in 2025.
