Hi Bobby, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The You Matter Movement was created because of loss. We got to where we are today through support of the community and people believe in our mission
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have grown very quickly but have managed to be able to continue moving forward. We are a group of people who show up for each other and that allows everything to work

The You Matter Movement was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves to be seen, valued, and supported—no matter their circumstances.
What began as small, intentional acts of showing up for people in need quickly grew into a larger mission. In our community, too many individuals were facing battles with mental health, addiction, and food insecurity—often in silence. Too many children were going without meals. Too many people felt overlooked, forgotten, or alone.
The You Matter Movement was created to meet people where they are—in apartment complexes, neighborhoods, hotels, and on the streets—bringing not only resources, but hope. Whether it’s providing meals to children, distributing life-saving tools like Narcan, or simply having a conversation with someone who needs to be heard, our goal is the same
We believe real change happens through presence, consistency, and compassion. We don’t wait for people to come to us—we go to them. We partner with local organizations, law enforcement, and community leaders to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
What started as a response to immediate needs has become a movement rooted in action, connection, and purpose.
