Today we’d like to introduce you to Trisha Bean and Anna Valdivia.
Hi Trisha and Anna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When Trisha and I began working together it was clear we shared the same work ethic and passion for skincare. There was such an easy flow of sharing ideas and clients in a way we had never encountered with other estheticians. When the pandemic hit, we had a chance to sit down and not just talk about opening a spa but actually doing it. We truly started from the ground up. The space we found and fell in love with is located in East Brookside at 63rd & Rockhill road. The building has been completely renovated and filled with like-minded entrepreneurs! We took on suite# 440 and began our buildout last May.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We believe opening a business comes with all the feels. You have your good days and you’re not so good days. but at the end of each day, we are thankful for the opportunity we have been given to do what we love, serve our clients with exceptional services drawing from our 20 plus years of experience.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
profileKC brings an individualized approach to skincare for every age and stage of life. We know that trust is as important as experience. So here you will find both. We believe skincare is really selfcare, so we’ll be sure to nurture your soul while you are here too. We are known for doing our research on every product we bring to our Spa. We believe that touching, feeling, and smelling is just the beginning of choosing a product line/item. We like to see studies, longevity, and likability. We have something for everyone and every budget. we didn’t want to be a high-end spa because of expensive products but because of the quality and research done to each product brought into the spa hand-picked by Trisha and I.
We also pride ourselves on…
*Seeing and feeling the client’s energy shift. The shoulders relax, the breathing slows down…they exhale.
*Providing a bit of mental health and recharging as much as the practical benefit to the skin.
* Serving clients; giving them time to relax and when they leave, knowing that I made a difference in their day/week/month.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Stick with it. Being an Esthetician can be challenging because we are appointment-based. staying in one place and having a good work ethic. clients love stability and an Esthetician they can depend on to not cancel on them. wouldn’t you? Build a clientele and focus on growing it. The beauty industry is about beauty, yes, but it’s also about relationships and loyalty.
