Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Wicks.
Hi Amy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Amy Wicks, and I like to say I went from being a worn-out, striving mom of three to a wholehearted guide for women who want to live with more clarity, purpose, and joy.
Years ago, I found myself overwhelmed, exhausted by the hustle, stuck in comparison, and spiritually depleted. I loved God deeply, but I didn’t know how to live freely. That all started to shift in 2016, when I stumbled across the Enneagram (thanks to my favorite podcaster, Annie F. Downs). I couldn’t even pronounce it at first- but once I understood what it was, I dove in headfirst.
The Enneagram gave me language for what I was feeling, clarity about why I was stuck, and a framework that helped me integrate my faith, emotions, and identity. I realized I wasn’t broken- I was just in the middle of the story. And with God’s help, I could flip the script.
That journey led me to get certified as an Enneagram coach and eventually develop what’s now known as the Wholehearted Coaching Collective — a team of faith-filled coaches trained in both emotional insight and spiritual direction. Today, I help multi-passionate Christian women rediscover who they are, heal what’s still hurting, and build life-giving rhythms for their next chapter.
I also host the Simply Wholehearted Podcast, where for the past eight years I’ve had weekly conversations that spark faith-filled clarity, soul-deep healing, and a whole lot of Enneagram insight.
I’m an Enneagram Seven, a California-born mountain girl who somehow ended up on a cul-de-sac in the Midwest. But no matter where I live or what I’m doing, my mission is the same: to encourage women that they’re not behind — they’re being prepared. Your starting point doesn’t have to be your stuck point.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nope! The entrepreneurial road is anything but smooth- it’s more of a zigzag than a straight line. There have been detours, delays, and plenty of doubts along the way. But every twist has served a purpose. Whether it was trying too many things at once, trying a niche that wasn’t a profitable option, or creating offer confusion for my community. That’s actually one of the reasons I’m so passionate about mentoring other coaches now. I’ve walked the hard path, and I love helping others avoid some of the pain and confusion that can come with the process. There’s so much beauty in building something meaningful, especially when it’s anchored in purpose, not pressure.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a faith-based Enneagram coach and the founder of the Wholehearted Coaching Collective. I specialize in helping multi-passionate Christian women who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next step. Through 1:1 coaching, online courses, and a growing team of certified coaches, I guide women through a transformational process that combines Enneagram insights, Biblical truth, and soul-aligned action.
I’m known for my compassionate yet strategic approach, as a guide-by-the-side, not a guru on a stage. I help women rewrite their stories with grace, clarity, and courage, so they can build sustainable rhythms in their faith, relationships, and purpose. I also host the Simply Wholehearted Podcast, where I’ve had weekly conversations about emotional healing, spiritual growth, and wholehearted living for over eight years.
One thing I’m really proud of is the ripple effect- seeing clients not only experience personal breakthrough but go on to become the kind of mentor, coach, or creative leader they always wished they had. And what sets me apart? I don’t offer a one-size-fits-all plan. I meet women in the middle of their story, helping them hear from God and take their next right step, without pressure, hustle, or hype.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was the oldest of four kids — the classic firstborn: responsible, curious, and always a little bossy (in the most helpful way, of course!). I loved reading, writing, and learning about anything and everything. I was constantly asking questions, dreaming up big ideas, and creating systems for fun. Even then, I was fascinated by people — what made them tick, how they connected, and how to make things better. Looking back, it’s no surprise I ended up doing the work I do now — helping others gain clarity, connect deeply, and live more wholeheartedly.
