Check Out Adrianne Zendejas’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrianne Zendejas.

Hi Adrianne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up surrounded by photographs. My maternal grandmother (Grandma Gladys) documented everything with her camera, while my paternal grandmother (Momo) made sure our family was always being photographed. As a child, I loved flipping through old photo albums, discovering stories frozen in time. Seeing how styles had changed and how my family had grown and changed. It was like a time machine portal.

My early love of imagery led me to study photography at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where my skills and passion continued to grow. Over the years, I’ve worked across nearly every genre of photography—from family and school portraits to weddings—gaining a deep appreciation for capturing authentic moments and meaningful connections. I have had a few opportunities to travel the midwest and have gotten to photograph a few local celebrities at events here and there.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One challenge I’ve encountered is building strong business knowledge. Providing a high-quality product and professional experience requires more than just taking good photos. While photography no longer involves the cost of film, there are still significant investments involved — including equipment, backgrounds, software, storage, and ongoing tools needed to run a sustainable business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I photograph people. Specializing in professional portraits of families, high school seniors, business headshots, milestones and more.

I am super proud of my ability to take an extended family and get a full session done in a timely manner. With my attention to posing, groupings and variety I give my clients many options to choose from. Helping them document their current family; who they are, what they look like, how much they love each other. Photographing an extended family can be so much fun with all the different personalities. I am able to quickly work through a variety of poses and groupings, from the whole group, to each house hold to even individual of each child.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My parents deserve a lot of credit. They never told me no or held me back — instead, they trusted my brother and me to follow what genuinely made us happy. They gave us the freedom to explore our interests, make mistakes, and figure things out for ourselves, all while knowing they were always there to support us. That trust and encouragement shaped the way I approach both my life and my work today.
