Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigale And Paisley Clayton And Griffin

Hi Abigale and Paisley , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Paisley- When I aged out of public school I had a hard time getting support services to help me be successful in a traditional job role. KaraMae is a way for me to do what I love and support something that I care about deeply.

Abi- We started KaraMae designs to help support our special Olympics team and other teams throughout Missouri spreading love and connecting others with the Special Needs community with our designs. We couldn’t do this with my mom, Paisley’s mom, and my sister helping us.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Abi and Paisley- I think the hardest part for us has been learning how to schedule and run events successfully and marketing our events. Learning how to talk to customers and tell them about our mission and what we stand for has been hard work especially when we get big crowds and have lots of questions thrown our way.

Learning how to perfect our designs and the science behind dye has been difficult but fun as well! Learning the correct method for the lines of our designs to be crisp and how to fold complicated designs and making it accessible for our limitations has been a challenge as well but one we are happy to take on.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Paisley- We make tie dye designs! My specialization personally is for spiral designs and some of our specialty designs like our “puppy love” and our “color flow scrumple”. What makes us different in our designs is our daringness with bold colors and challenging designs.

Abi- We make tie dye designs on sweatshirts, tshirts, pants, bags, dresses, bandanas, and so much more! I am most proud of our custom orders and having our customers love our designs so much that they com.eback for more. I think what makes us different is our mission to support Special Olympics and be advocates for our community by promoting inclusion and awareness.

What makes you happy?
Paisley- I think the part of KaraMae that makes me happiest is working with Abi. She is so funny and makes the hard parts easy to figure out together.

Abi- The thing about KaraMae that makes me happiest is working with my best friend Paisley. Paisley is an amazing person who helps me through the hard times and we do a good job working together and supporting each other in our dream.
