Check Out ✨Michelle Morris’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Morris. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Michelle has always had a love for creation. She created works of art around the city as a child; some are still on display today, 18 years later! In college, she was accepted into the School of Fine Arts at KU and got her degree with honors in Illustration from Utah Valley University. This is where she learned how to render life-like sketches from charcoal pastels. After  college she spent many years as a graphic designer and commissioned artist . After having children, she learned to sew and started creating fancy feathered dresses, soft baby clothes, and blankets. Her unwavering love for fitness took her career into fitness coaching, fitness modeling then fashion modeling. Her runway, print, and infomercial modeling jobs inspired her to start her own business. In 2022 she combined her knowledge as an artist-entrepreneur with her experience in fitness and modeling and began designing her fitness apparel brand, MPower.

MPOWER provides high fashion fitness apparel for women. Their slimming comfortable designs help women feel confident and beautiful while gaining that MPOWERING inner fire and faith to crush their goals!

She debuted her spring fitness apparel line on the runway at KC fashion week in March and will be showing her fall line at Omaha Fashion Week in August. You can find her works of art at galleries, gyms, restaurants, office buildings, and homes across the nation. Michelle has a huge belief in the power of service and, in 2022 was appointed as a board member of the public art committee for the City of Olathe. She is thankful for the opportunity to give back and beautify the community.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes there have been and I will continue to have consistent adversity. I use to view these constant struggles as frustrating and hurtful and it was physically and emotionally  paralyzing my progress . But after looking back at the many years of failed attempts for success, I feel that these challenges were there to help me grow, build resilience and become better. They were part of the greater plan, preparing me to be able to better handle harder situations to come.  I now have a better perspective that trials are there for our own benefit and to allow us to better empathize and help others. In fitness and in business I look for these challenges to push myself and find opportunities for growth.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
One problem I saw consistently when coaching women was FEAR. We have all experienced this feeling of wanting to be accepted and respected and Fear often produces negative limiting beliefs that paralyze our progression. When i labeled Fear as a selfish quality, I stopped thinking about me and focused on how I can help others with my unique talents. Having this shift in perspective was pivotal. I was more free to  create a solution for them. So after my next collection releases I will be focusing on doing that! There are several solutions i have found in the Health and fitness industry and I’m excited to create some things that don’t exist that will help people in their Health and fitness journey! I will also be working on  my next spring line as well as marketing and manufacturing . I am planning some collabs in KC for some MPOWER Pop up events. It will be a full day fun motivating event! (Details are a secret until 2023) In the future I plan to make these events larger and more tropical 🙂
