Angela, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I have a passion for gardening and I started building myself a greenhouse this summer, it’s made out of old wood windows.. I spent several months searching for and buying windows … I have 27 raised garden beds around the front and back of my house… it’s a great getaway and stress relief for me ..
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I am Angela Egley, owner and creator of Me Soy Happy Candle Co.. I started with making All Natural Soy Wax Candles, Wax Melts, and Squeeze Melts, and this past year I’ve expanded into making Car Air Freshies, Air Fresheners, Bath Bombs, Shower Melts, Bath Salts, and Sugar Scrubs, and if that wasn’t enough I also do Resin. I make Resin Jewelry Trays, Bookmarks, Earrings, Barrettes, Bracelets, Large Trays and Bowls, games like Dominoes, Tic Tac Toe, and Chess .
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
I think my kids taught me the most about work because I knew I had to work hard so that I could provide for them .. They were my motivation and my inspiration from my early 20’s and on. I’ve always had a strong desire to feel successful and I think my most significant accomplishment and success came from being a mother. Knowing that I had little humans relying and counting on me pushed me that much harder to be a great person and parent ..
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back the most in my life was being scared to fail .. I’ve always had a hard time believing in myself and often didn’t go after something I wanted because I was scared I wouldn’t be good at it or that I would fail at it . As time past, I learned to just believe in myself and give it my best and see where it got me and so far it’s worked
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
What matters to me the most is honesty and integrity. Also determination and willingness to work hard and give it my best.

That i was always there when needed, that i was always a phone call away, that i would give them my last meal if they were starving, that i would open my house if they had no where to sleep ..
