An Inspired Chat with Trae Venerable of South KC

We recently had the chance to connect with Trae Venerable and have shared our conversation below.

Trae , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’m on a path in this life for sure striding along and not striving in life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Trae Q L Venerable. I own a business and brand of 10 years this year. My business is called Venerable’s Projects, LLC. My trademark brand is MidWest CowPoke.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My father Myron L Venerable and he called greatness out of me before I saw it in myself.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Many times along my path. But anything of worth is an uphill battle. No failures in this life just lessons learned.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes my private life is my public life and vice versus. That’s huge in life and leadership being the true you 365.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Legacy is huge for me and my family. The story I hope people tell about me when I’m gone is that I did everything I was put on this Earth to do.
