An Inspired Chat with Candice McField

Candice McField shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Candice, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Recently, I took a trip to Roatan, Honduras.

We kicked it off with service at the medical clinic and it was such a joy!!

We donated the 200 Spanish copies of Jesse Vaccinates. They also gave us a tour and I then stayed to help the pharmacist sort pills to fill prescriptions. The experience was super cool and heart-warming. I jotted three things down about the experience in my journal.
1 – Today was another reminder that a little goes a long way
2 – There is still so much work to do
3 – People are genuinely appreciative of assistance

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Howdy, I’m Candice.

At the core, I am an entrepreneur with a philanthropic heart and an international mindset.

My passion is helping executives and companies arise to their fit potential.

My calling is helping believers bridge their spiritual and physical health, and my legacy is helping youth become healthy global citizens.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment and decision I made to be a Christian and accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior.

Once you are Believer, your entire perspective changes.

My faith shapes how I see the world.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I’m claustrophobic to elevators.

Most people think I always take the stairs due to my passion for wellness but the reality I hate being enclosed in elevators.

It’s kind of crazy because I’ve been skydiving, scuba diving, flyboarding, parasailing, and the list goes on but can’t ride an elevator without my heart racing.

It’s held me back because I’m sure I’ve missed meeting someone great in the elevator because I was taking the stairs, LOL!

Ha, no 30-second elevator pitches for me. J/K one still needs one!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That quick fix gimmicks are sustainable for life!

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I think I understand the concept of Ichigo-Ichie which my tour guide in Japan told me years ago. It has become my life philosophy.

Ichigo~Ichie – One encounter, one chance, One Life, One Chance

Ichigo-Ichie is a long used Japanese phrase that refers to the concept that each instant or encounter is the first, the one and the only of its kind, never to be repeated. With Ichigo-Ichie, the implication is that our behavior in a given moment has significant, if not lasting, impact upon our lives and the lives of others. Applying the concept of Ichigo-Ichie means to “put our best heart forward” in every encounter.

I like to summarize it is as, “one life, one chance” thus make every moment count.
