Daily Inspiration: Meet Faiza Khan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faiza Khan.

Hi Faiza, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m the founder & lead of Imaan by Faiza Khan. Customization has become one of my biggest passions in life without question, and I can say without any uncertainty that I’m currently doing something that I was born for. What started out as an Instagram page to post Cricut projects for fun has turned into a luxury customization business that I built from the ground up. And I guess that’s a pretty good place to start. I was always labeled as an overachiever, and that hit the nail on the head to my ambition and work ethic. I always have put my heart in everything I do. But my heart is in this business for another reason, Imaan. My passion will forever live until I’m reunited with my angel baby Imaan God willingly.

Flashback to when I was married working in corporate America, I found myself trapped. Trapped in a cage in a marriage I was unhappy in. While I was pregnant, I spent much of my time alone where I got to explore and did more of my much-needed soul searching. All my doctor checkups were normal and everything was fine until suddenly I had a traumatic miscarriage at 16 weeks. I had labor pains, went into active labor, has contractions radiating up to my chest and finally delivered a beautiful baby girl. My baby girl was not meant for this world, she took her first and last breaths inside me. I named my daughter Imaan which means Faith in Arabic. And following God’s plan, within a few months I was divorced. Imaan was my strength and when I was fighting the miscarriage and her heartbeat was strong as ever, Imaan was my strength when I knew I had to walk away from an abusive marriage. After my divorce, I felt like praying for her at her grave wasn’t enough. Inside my heart, I had the desire to be the mother that I wanted to be for her. After my divorce, everyone said I was lucky I didn’t have kids, but I’d tell them I had a child in heaven waiting for me. July 8th, 2021 was the day she was supposed to come into this world, but God protected her and kept her in the heavens. I wanted to raise her to be strong and resilient to shatter glass ceilings. But I realized It was my job to do it for her until we would be reunited. And that’s where Imaan by Faiza Khan was born. What started as an Instagram page transformed into a Luxury Customization Business, and I couldn’t be more proud of the journey. This is my healing journey. With this platform I have built the Imaan Healing community as a safe space to provide support to women having trouble overcoming difficulty, failure, miscarriage, divorce, etc.

Now, as a young entrepreneur and mindset coach who is doing nothing other than her career, I really found out that I was born to tell my story. The TL;DR (too long didn’t read) version is that I am here to encourage breaking the glass ceilings.

As a part of sincere gratitude to the almighty, 10% of all business proceeds go towards helping women in Pakistan with safe birth. A safe birth ensures women living through emergency situations deliver babies safely and have access to a skilled health workers and medicine. These make all the difference for a new mom and her baby. By occupation, I am a pharmacist, but my real job in life is truly to empower women. My passion will forever live until I’m reunited with my angel baby Imaan God willingly.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have a Doctorate in Pharmacy which in no shape or form gives you skills to be an entrepreneur. Building a business from the ground up is all about discovering and being uncomfortable with not knowing an outcome. There’s no bulletproof way to transform your business into a six-figure business. Juggling my full-time job, I’ve lost lots of sleep trying to produce quality products for my clients. Lamborghini doesn’t have commercials or ads on TV, for the same reason I don’t thrive off of ads or commercials. I stand by the authenticity and quality of my products to deliver Imaan from One heart to another.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Pharmacist working in the non-traditional role in the pharmaceutical industry. I always knew I wanted to work in the pharmaceutical industry because of the potential impact that one can have on many patient populations. My passion for industry will always remain because of the impact it has patient health outcomes.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Passion. The passion I have is my motivation that drives me forward through the peaks and valleys of life. Sometimes I have to step back, breathe, and count my blessings and I’m back on the path to success. It’s easy to get overwhelmed but if you are passionate about what you do, it will never feel like work.
