Meet Meghan Piper of Northwest Missouri

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Piper.

Hi Meghan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got my first camera from my Nana. I immediately fell in love with photography from that moment on. From there I worked hard to save up for a newer, nicer camera. I immersed myself into every opportunity to take pictures I could. I joined my school’s yearbook class, taking pictures for sports and special events. I started to realize that I could turn this passion into a more. I began posting my work on social media. From there I had interest in photoshoots and I wasn’t going to say no! I love taking pictures of others and seeing them smile!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Trying to make money off anything is never a smooth process. There are numerous other photographers in my area and still being in highschool presents problems. I don’t always have the most adequate equipment or time to really dive into the business side of my photography. I have learned a lot over the time I have been taking pictures but there is still so far I know I can go!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a highschool photographer who works with sports and portrait work. My favorite pieces have been from sporting events, the vibe, energy, and creative aspect of sports photography is always changing and challenging me. Personally, I love portrait photography! I have had the honor to take senior, couples, best friends, and so much more for community members! I love getting to bring out others true smile and make them feel beautiful!

What makes you happy?
There are so many things in my life that bring my job. First being my faith but also my family. Through both of these things I have been able to find an express my passion of photography.
