Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Sheets.

Hi Michael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Iowa in 1965, I got the bug for repairing cars when I was 13, some 47 years ago, by helping a neighbor build VW beatle kit cars then after high school I went to college for Automotive technology, I work in a Pontiac dealership for years, owned a business in DeSoto Iowa that was a 24 hr towing and Auto repair shop, worked at an all GM and Dodge dealership, I was a Service manager for Goodyear and an assistant manager for a machine shop. In 1995 I broke my back and moved to Missouri and I was retrained in electronics at Electronics Institute in Belton. I worked as a electronics technictian on high speed, state of the art machines, but I never lost the love for cars and desided to start doing auto work on the side before getting out of college and created a business and have had one ever sense. I moved to Peculiar in 2022 and built a new shop at my home where I now have Exodus Automotive LLC. I have truely been bessed. I have remarried a wonderfull woman, Suzie, and have 5 grown children of my own. Suzie has 5 children also and betwen the two of us we have 14 grandchildren. In 2009 I gave my life to the Lord Jesus and have never looked back. Praise the Lord

I have alway loved racing, I raced Stock cars for 5 years, I raced motorcyles for 5 years and I have drag raced legally sense 2006.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Its had its challenges, from land lords selling properties, theft, to two divorces. Then you have the city and county to deal with. Its anything but easy. Capital for expansion is always a problem. then in 1995 I had back surgery that slowed things down for a couple of years.
