Meet Sydney Phelps

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sydney Phelps. 

Hi Sydney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I have always been interested in capturing photos of moments and beautiful things. My true passion for photography, however, started when my mom got me a camera for Christmas one year. This was my first real camera, and I couldn’t help be overwhelmed with excitement knowing the things I could capture and create now. From there I started to take photos of friends and family and continued to just do it for fun for years. It wasn’t until the summer of 2020 that I began my true business, Sydney Phelps Photography. I began to market and received some business from new people! I feel so thankful that I have been able to slowly build my business since then. My goal is to capture moments and give people something they can cherish forever. Photography is something I am so thankful to be a part of. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a fairly new business still, I have not run into many struggles so far! The hardest part is trying to get my name out there and find new people to capture memories for! 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a photographer in the Lee’s Summit/ Kansas City area. I specialize in lifestyle photography of all kinds! (Families, seniors, portraits, couples, etc.) I am proud to offer more affordable prices for my services. I feel like this allows people to get photos that they might not be able to get otherwise. I genuinely care about each client I work with and want them to get exactly what they envision, so I put in as much time and energy as needed to do that!

I am hoping to continue to grow my business and continue to reach more people.
