Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelby Biggs.
Hi Shelby, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up I always had a camera in my hand. At an early age, I really enjoyed it and was lucky to have parents that saw I had a creative eye and pushed me to always do something I loved. Between my mom always doing different projects and crafts, being a PTA mom, and my dad who owned his own successful tree business before he passed away. I guess it was always in my blood to be a creative business owner. When I graduated from high school I was working at a photo studio at the mall taking pictures of families and it just confirmed my love for photography. Soon after I started taking pictures for friends and family. Practiced, practiced, and then practiced some more to get me to where I am at today. I have done styled shoots, workshops, education programs online, mentoring programs. I just want to be able to give my clients the best version of me and my work.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It by no means has been a smooth road to get to where I am but with the help of such an amazing community that always has your back! I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to be in. I just want to continue to get better and focus on what I need to do to help better my client experience!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in couples and seniors. I love all the glam that goes into a wedding day and I want to be there every step of the way to help you in any way that I can. I just recently started a senior rep program and am loving my seniors. They are so fun and fresh and always down to try something new and to get adventurous. One of my main things I try to strive for is to not give you the same photos I give the rest of my clients. I want everyone’s session to be as unique as them. So before their session, I have all my clients fill out a questionnaire to help me better serve you and so we can really try and figure out what your family loves to do or what you as a couple enjoy doing together.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am a mama of a spunky, and fun 2 year old and a wife to an awesome husband. They are the reason I grind as hard as I do. I just want to do right by them. When I am not photographing your family I am at home having fun with mine.
