Meet Lauren Archibald

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Archibald.

Hi Lauren, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I had started Archie’s Views Photography in a small suburb of Dallas with the dreams & goals of being able to do enough photography full time so I can spend some more time (at the time) with my only child, Cecilia “CJ”. I would take my DSLR and my lenses everywhere I went from work, the grocery store, just about everywhere minus the movie theaters or venues that didn’t allow professional photography equipment really. Over time, I strengthen my skills in capturing images, editing, and my customer service while our small family kept growing. We had gone from just the two of us (not including aunts and grandparents), to us gaining a family of four after my fiancé and I helped bring her little brother into the world. Currently, I still haven’t been able to do photography full time just yet, but I have been gracious enough to get to travel almost all over the states for my photography! I’ve been able to visit the Universal Boardwalk in Florida and the famous Love Locks bridge in KC!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Most of my struggles have been getting my name out so I can be able to help create everlasting memories for everyone I meet. I’m currently in college going towards a BA in Digital Photography with a minor in Business and Computers to help ensure I can give the best possible experience to my clients!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in just a tab of everything though I am needing to work on my boudoir work for both males and females, my current work mostly consists of sports, families, pets, and children! I’m most proud of the images I can get when there are young children in the images as I normally let them run around after we get those priority shots if there is any, or right after they roughly play as they get to know me with those always genuine smiles and laughs they share as they play which makes capturing their images even more of a blast!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel being polite and kind is defiantly the way to go. I try to be as friendly as I possibly can with my southern personality without it being overbearing.
