Today we’d like to introduce you to Dante Lee.
Dante, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well… in 2012, I was a collegiate basketball player who dropped out of school when my first daughter was born. I got a normal warehouse job to provide for my family and did only that for a couple of years. To be honest, I was at a low point in my personal life because I didn’t have that one personal hobby or passion that brought me happiness. Growing up, there were always two consistent things that brought me that personal happiness that I had lost; basketball and fashion. In 2016, my mom and I spoke, and since we both have such a strong love and passion for fashion, we decided to become partners and start a clothing line. For us, we wanted to not only share our love for fashion but we wanted to inspire people a the same time. That’s when Triumph Victory Limitsnone (TVLN) was created. TVLN creates a culture for people regardless of race, shape, or size to come together as one with the realization that we are all created equal.
A Triumph-Victory is when you have been at a low point in your life and manage to stand on top to become victorious over the situation. Limitsnone is a mentality that no matter how low you are in life, you have the ability to do anything without any limitations. The first design we created was very simple and had two color options. At the beginning of this process, my wife and mom would even create designs on a Cricut machine and use a heat press for merchandise. We have went from having random releases of merchandise literally selling out of the trucks of our vehicles to being in a boutique and store at Oak Park Mall with other local businesses. Today, we are now strictly selling on our online store with a more planned and seasonal structure for our releases. I have become much more comfortable with the design process, creating more detailed and colorful designs. I love that people look forward to what I have personally created, and hopefully one-day TVLN becomes a household name.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This August will be our fifth year, and for the most part, the journey and process have been good. However, being a part of a couple of stores that closed pretty quickly due to vendors not keeping up with sales was unfortunate. Luckily we pushed through and were able to promote via social media, which allows us to have our online store today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Triumph Victory Limitsnone?
Something I am most proud of with our brand is the impact that it has on others’ lives. Since we are big on promoting positivity and inspiration to all, we have come across people that appreciate our brand not being just a clothing line but a way of life; from people wearing our brand during chemo to basketball teams thriving in their season, as well as BLM protesting. The overall diversity in our supporters/customers is something I truly love and appreciate.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising about me that most people may not know is how I am always on the go. I have a full-time job, I am the assistant varsity basketball coach at Van Horn High School, and I have a podcast with my friends called The Triple Crown Podcast. All while having and continuing to build TVLN, as well. In regards to the brand, I don’t think many people know how much my wife, Katie, and my mom/business partner, Cheryl, really do to keep things going. There is nothing they can’t do. I truly appreciate both of them for all they contribute and for always supporting me with my dreams.

I believe that the inner strength in oneself, Will come out if you let it. If dreams are to become a reality, put your head down and go for It. A wise Man told me one time, Minor setbacks for Major Comebacks. Congratulations Dante and Family.
