Meet Cerise Hall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cerise Hall.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Great question. I started in Atlanta, GA (rural), and started teaching entrepreneurial training in the library system. Business Speaks llc used these events as a way to develop my teaching skills, relationships, networks and after that started teaching millennial entrepreneurs throughout the Greater Atlanta ecosystem. I really enjoyed working with K12 students and got my first contract in Atlanta Public Schools.

I used education in  entrepreneurship as a pathway to reduce youth violence. The themes resonated with the Superintendent and Principals and my journey began in 2010 and in 2021 still focusing on K12 students. However, I have added to  Business Speaks LLC  strategy and started teaching in elementary schools in 2022. In the growth we launched a tshirt brand called Melanin Money Matters. The Melanin Money Matters brand became a revenue stream to highlight buying black in America. The message is self resonating and well accepting among entrepreneurs, small business, and  business2business brands in the marketplace. A portion of the proceeds from the tshirt sales funds the student entrepreneur pitch competition called “Guppy Tank”. Since 2017 the “Guppy Tank” has awarded over 4k in seed monies for youth start ups.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building a business is never a smooth road, it actually is the road less traveled. The struggle for me is my desire to improve the mindset, mood, and money of our youthE exposure to what the American economy has to offfer via ownership is a solution to reduce youth violence.

Business Speaks LLC’s mission is to expose and inspire our next-gen youth student entreprenuers.. The biggest challenge  is  mindset, Youth think that their current condition will last always and most times they are first-gen business owners and wealth creators. The challenge I  is to get people to see themselves as there first business entity. I like to call it the “CEO OF YOU”. Start ups in business must be encouraged to dream, manifest and accept that you deserve to have your dreams become a reality.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The vision statement for Business Speaks LLC, we go where it’s not pretty, desired, and where doubt exists. Our start-up students benefit from entrepreneurial training. It builds healthy self-esteem, manifests dreams, workforce talent, and  reduces poverty; which directly impacts violence. We have long term legacy plans because no matter the innovation or economic change you will always have a need for entrepreneurial training in our marketplace.

What makes  Business Speaks LLC different is we focus on non- traditional learning for start-ups,students, dreamers, and tenured entities. We understand the  entrepreneur population is essential to develop future leaders. Just like families want to see their youth develop into great student-athletes we want the same for student entreprenuers. Educating K12 students in employeement and entreprenuership gives our dreamers the ability to create diverse skills and streams of income which is both needed in the current financial economy.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
The fondest memory is that I didn’t have a traumatic childhood. I thank my single mom for positioning me to be exposed to vast opportunities. She raised me saying I was the best thing that ever happened to me. One of the best parts of growing up is I had strong grandparents. We don’t take advantage of the need for aged wisdom. Listening to my ancestors is one of my fondest memories and long time childhood friends.
