Life & Work with Anthony Louderback

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Louderback.

Hi Anthony, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a musician and I go by Danza. I’ve always been musical but knew by around the start of college that I wanted to pursue music in some capacity. I started writing and recording melodies, tried out for bands and tried to make my own mini studio. Then one of my friends graduated from sound engineering school and he could run Pro Tools, so we hit the ground running. Made an EP together then made a follow-up LP called Danza’s Garden. I’m still growing and developing and want to continue to get better and find the right groove.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve had a lot of fun, but I wouldn’t describe it as smooth. I balance a job and my art like a number of my collaborators, so life can often get in the way of what we’re trying to accomplish. On one hand I wish I had more freedom to create, but I think it’s all a part of the process. When time is limited in the studio you want to make every second count.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I write, rap, sing and perform using a form of creative consciousness. I use my intuition to find the grooves and have fun with it. I let go, let loose and make the music move while having conversations and connecting on a personal level.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Doing good things for people out of love is therapeutic. The older I get the more I see how important this is for the soul. I also believe that finding an outlet or way of expressing myself like through music makes me happy. Lastly, I wouldn’t be doing this without family and friends who play the biggest role in my happiness. Thank you for the love and support.
