Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Nordike.
Hi Alyssa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It all started in quarantine when I was stuck at home from school and work and had to find something to do. I was cleaning out my closet and saw how many cute things I had that I wanted to share with my friends and family but decided to create a whole new page and blog all of my fashion-styled outfits! It started off really strong and since I’ve started about a year ago, I have worked with around 75 different small businesses and big companies! I have learned to love all things fashion and plan on continuing it!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been all smooth! Having to stay up to date with trends and having to really always keep up with your page by posting either every day or every other day can be really time-consuming! I am a college student and have a part-time job and it gets to be a lot sometimes! Overall, I wouldn’t have changed it for anything!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In all honesty, I’m going to college for business and plan on graduating with my bachelor’s degree within the next year and a half! Don’t give me wrong, I want to be a college graduate and work for a business someday! But finding myself slowly falling towards fashion and maybe some decorating my own business of clothing would be a dream! I love both business and fashion and so far, it has been going well with a combination of the both of them! So I plan on going on with both for years to come.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
When I first started becoming a fashion influencer, it was hard to find a mentor, especially because it wasn’t as much of a “thing “as it is now! If any of you guys have Tiktok, and you’re a female, you’ll notice that a lot of people are getting into the influencing business and lifestyle! I love it more than ever because it’s all girl supporting girls and I couldn’t ask for anything more! But for a mentor wise, I would just look up to people Who are doing the same things as me finding them on Instagram, TikTok, any other social media and learning ways that they could do something that you do but differently!
