Today we’d like to introduce you to Polina Wittmann.
Hi Polina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story starts in Russia and Germany. I have always been an immigrant child and felt like I did not know where my roots were. After graduating from high school in Germany, I decided to go to college in the United States of America. I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to attend Park University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, my initial career started in social services where I worked in correctional facilities as well as the community. I always loved helping people solve problems with the intent to create and follow a plan that will lead to a healthy and fulfilling life. I eventually left social services to pursue my dreams of creating my own business. Once I started working in real estate, I quickly realized it was the perfect fit for me. I love helping buyers and sellers understand the market, as well as provide education on a variety of options available to them as they maneuver through the decision-making process. I am also passionate about working with my investors because I am able to assist them in their journey of creating generational wealth for themselves and their families. This provides me a great deal of purpose and gratitude. After becoming a U.S. citizen this year, I finally feel rooted, which is what I have always searched for. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunities that I have been given during my time in the U.S.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the beginning, it was tough learning the English language beyond conversational speech as well as the unique customs in this country. There were moments when I considered moving back to Germany. However, part of growing is not giving up regardless of the barriers in my path. My decision to stay and go through those struggles allowed me to obtain the focus needed to create a strong foundation for myself, and I have never looked back since.

I am a Real Estate Agent for Homesmart Legacy, a boutique brokerage in Leawood, Kansas. We have an amazing team that focuses on residential, foreclosures and investment properties. I specialize in residential and investment sales, which has allowed me to establish an amazing clientele over the last couple of years. I have helped clients purchase their dream homes at or below list price in this challenging market through education and coaching on what it takes to be competitive. On the other hand, I also love working with sellers in getting them the highest/best possible offers so they can move on to the next chapter in their lives. I get so excited talking about real estate as I strive to be a resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the industry.
