Hidden Gems: Meet Matt Logan of Made New Home Services, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Logan.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My construction journey actually began as a teenager. From as early as I can remember I was either helping my dad flip houses or my grandfather paint them. I knew at that point, I loved making old things feel new. My official career in construction and remodeling began in 2016 and during the past 5 1/2 years I’ve gained a vast amount of experience. Each move in my career taught me something new and created a great opportunity for me to learn lessons that have led me to where I am today.

In 2018, I began working small side jobs outside of my full-time construction employment. I quickly was able to build up a client base but due to my full-time career in construction, I couldn’t mange the work load on evenings and weekends alone. Fast forward to 2021 – I decided to officially take the step to start my own business.

Made New Home Services, LLC was created not only to continue my passion in making spaces feel made new but to help frustrated clients across the KC Metro that are constantly dealing with service providers not calling them back, showing up, or delivering a promised bid. It’s our promise to be professional and transparent during the entire remodeling process from the moment you contact us until your project is complete.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As as small business owner you wear many hats and realize how many struggles a business can face daily. We’ve learned that obstacles will always be a part of the business journey. However, when my wife and I started Made New Home Services our focus was less on the actual obstacle in our way but the mindset of who we overcome them. This mindset has helped us tremendously. We’ve also realized that without obstacles and struggles, there would be no growth and we wouldn’t be where we are today as a company.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Made New Home Services, LLC?
Made New Home Services is a residential remodeling business with an emphasis on kitchen and bathroom remodels. We serve the Kansas City Metro with the bulk of our business serving Johnson County, KS.

Made New Home Services was founded with a two-fold purpose. First, to continue our passion for making old, dated, and worn things new. We love helping our clients fall in love with their homes again. There is something about being a part of that process that is beyond rewarding. Second, there seems to be an overwhelming theme in the home services space where clients feel as if customer service doesn’t exist. We’re not saying that we will be able to take on every client that comes our way but each person who reaches out to inquire about our business deserves a response. It’s our goal to bridge the gap of quality and high finish craftsmanship and excellent customer service and communication.

We’re so extremely blessed that our current and past clients took a chance on us as a new start-up business. We’ve been blown away by the support of our friends, family, and clients and are so excited for what the future holds for Made New Home Services.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
My wife and I love Kansas City! It’s a wonderful place to plant roots and with opening a business here that’s exactly what we did. The people in the city are kind, genuine, and understanding, I’ve come to realize this more and more as I work with clients. It’s also an extremely supportive city. There are a lot of small businesses that thrive due to the support that people give, it’s amazing to see. Also, you can’t mention your love for this city without including Kansas City BBQ. It’s incredible!

It’s actually quite hard to pinpoint what we don’t like about Kansas City. I’d probably have to say that fact that we don’t have mountains. We love to hike and be outdoors and wouldn’t mind having the mountains in our backyard one day but if that’s the worst thing about this city – we’re doing alright!
