Hidden Gems: Meet Heather and Kaityana Villines of Chic Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather and Kaityana Villines.

Chic Beauty is owned by us sisters Heather And Kaityana Villines. Kaityana had already been doing esthetics and lash extensions on her own since 2009. I got my esthetics license in 2015 in order to start a lash and esthetics business together. In 2018 we teamed up and started Chic Beauty. We love what we do and have the best clientele ever. When you can work with your best friend doing something you are passionate about it makes everything just fun and relaxed. So we offer a very laid back and comfortable environment for people to either relax and take a little lash nap Or catch up on the daily gossip of life.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The first year actually was pretty smooth sailing but then the pandemic hit and we had to close up shop. We were Both devastated and terrified of what would happen with the business. I tried our best to keep our heads up and find ways to make ends meet financially. Even when we were allowed to open back up, our time to be open was limited since we are in such a small space with the client. I think now we are finally back to normal pace and keeping pretty busy. Now just hoping we won’t have to go through it again with this new Covid Variant.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Chic Beauty is a little bit of everything beauty. We are both estheticians and certified lash artists. We are both certified in microblading and Kaityana also has her permanent makeup license. So we offer eyelash extensions (which we pride ourselves on a more natural look), lash lifting, waxing, dermaplaning, Microblading, brow shaping and tinting, permanent makeup, and facials. It is a very relaxed and laid back environment. It is just the two of us there so it’s easy to make yourself feel right at home.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I think our biggest risk was opening back up after the quarantine. Being in such a small space with a client, we really had to make sure we were taking all the right precautions to prevent a covid case. We managed to get through it safely and are still doing all the same things to prevent cases in our business.
