Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Cole.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always loved fitness and started as a personal trainer in 2014. I enjoyed working one on one with clients but wanted to change up what I was doing. I love the energy of small classes and small group training so I decided to open a small studio downtown in 2019. It wasn’t great timing as our city went into lockdown in March of 2020. I quickly pivoted my business plan to operate fully online and realized that many of my clients actually prefer training from their homes online. So that’s what we’re doing now.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The biggest challenge we faced was figuring out how to safely operate a fitness business during a pandemic. In the end, we decided in-person training was just too risky. So we figured out how to have great classes online that still offered the sense of community and where you could get a great workout in 30 minutes.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Swell Wellness?
We are an online studio offering 30 minute fitness classes to people who want to stay fit but need to do it in a hurry. As a mom of three kiddos, I understand the many directions parents are pulled each day and I offer a space to connect and recharge so you can get on with life.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
We are a fitness studio that doesn’t focus on weight loss. We work hard and celebrate other accomplishments without the primary focus being a number on a scale. Instead, we practice gratitude for what we are able to do when we take good care of ourselves.
