Exploring Life & Business with Stacia Anderson of Immaculate Images

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacia Anderson.

Hi Stacia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started photography from the time where we enjoyed Kodak camera’s/Polaroids and getting them developed each week when I was little. It was way cheaper than to actually get them developed now, but I’ve always had an eye for it. I never got my first official camera until I was in Journalism/Video Tech in high school. I loved filming, producing, and creating stories. I then took my Journalism love – to photo love. I started capturing photos of my teachers, and friends. One of my favorite and most inspiring teachers let me capture her family since she was pregnant with her firstborn (nearly 5 years ago) to now. She truly gave me the push that I needed in my career to realize I can always grow and get better and that I have to start somewhere… I slowly began adding more and more on and before I knew it, I was creating my business for myself. It wasn’t until a couple years back right after my son was born that I truly got back into loving and dedicating more time to it. I finally blossomed in my career and taking on more and more weddings and meeting new people.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I haven’t always loved photography – at one point I almost gave up when I realized there are so many of us out there. What was the point of me trying to be a photographer, when everyone else already is one? That was the moment I realized I never wanted to make it my full career yet. One day I would love to, but for now, it’s nice to get to pick and choose when/where I spend my weekends and how often I get to do it. I realized not everyone has the same style as me, some are lifestyle, some candid, some posed, boho, etc. I can pretty much play matchmaker for clients! I can get a pretty good sense if my style is what others are looking for and if it isn’t? I have a huge photography community I can refer them to. That is one of the biggest things I’ve found is other photographers I know are more like family, not competition. I refer people in their style, and vice versa. It’s nice when you feel like you can have someone’s back and they have theirs.

The other obstacle I found was when I was pregnant and first had my son. My fiancé, now husband, was stationed in California at the time 3 years ago, so it was just me and my little one. We tried to visit a ton – I got to capture other places whenever we did go and visit, but never as often as we liked. Though I didn’t have much time being away from him to capture shoots at home – many people didn’t even mind if I brought him along. My son was my true excitement for dedicating more time to capturing photos. I love being able to capture my son in my own time by myself and It’s made a whole new love for capturing families once you have your own one growing. It makes understanding little ones’ minds a TON more after having your own.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Immaculate Images (Immyimages for short) was created when I realized that my photography was more than just for fun with my family and friends. My husband constantly used to call me ‘immaculate’. It was his word to describe me to anyone new… I chose to use that word in my business because that is what I wanted others to see and feel when they saw the photos, I brought to them. “Immaculate”.

I’m known highly for being a creative one. I specialize in multiple categories; family, weddings, boudoir, etc. Weddings have been my biggest hit lately due to it being wedding season and with Covid and all, a lot of people are requesting Vaccinated Photographers, and it’s nice to comment and say that I am! I want to be safe and help the community/others in every way I can.

I love to be available to capture moments for people for all kinds of their photoshoot needs – I’m open to all! I’ve done almost it all, too! I want people to know that I am weird, but I’m going to be the highlight of your day and make sure you feel the best during my shoots. I hold no judgment and accept every.single.person on this planet.

I’m here to tell your story – whether that’s 10 feet deep during a mud run, or lounging on your couch with your spouse. I want to create your ideas and help you bring them to life.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can ALWAYS reach out via my Facebook page, my photography page, or even my email. All of this information, I have listed on these areas to find, and later on in this interview! I would LOVE to continue to collaborate with people and continue my journey in meeting new people. I’m an open book, I would love to feel supported and support others in the same business/or others looking to have someone look out for them!

  • Weddings start at $800 (micro)
  • Boudoir starts at $375
  • Families start out at $150 (mini)
