Daily Inspiration: Meet Josephine Pace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josephine Pace.

Hi Josephine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve traveled to New Orleans many times over the years. I fell in love w the food, culture and the people. Many of those visits would be to The French Quarters, where I was introduced to the Pecan Praline.

It was love at first bite!

Every time I came home, I would get a longing for that sweet, savory taste of a praline. I found out they’re very far and in-between here.

I then decided to spread the love in my hometown.

After many failed attempts and with lots of help and encouragement from the NOLA locals, I’ve mastered the art of this delectable candy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not as smooth as my pralines, lol. Of course not.

While working outside the home and watching my grandbabies, time was precious.

I spent many wee hours of the mornings perfecting the art.

Recently, I’ve added two new products to the menu.

I also had to learn the ropes on Ecommerce since most of my client base is down South.

Advertising, packing supplies, porch pickup, etc.

So many new things and I’m still growing as well as learning.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I now spend most of my time on my grandbabies and Baby Jack’s. I love to make candy! Then consume it…lol.

I also work at local hospital in the pharmacy technician capacity.

I do work PRN now, which allows me more time to devote to my small business.

The girls are old enough now to help me with the candy-making process.

Teaching them valuable skills early.

Makes me proud to watch them perfecting their art!

I recently partnered w Headlights Bar & Grill and now have use of their massive, immaculate kitchen.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
That you will fail. Time and time again.

You will feel overwhelmed and defeated.

Then you tap into your strengths and carry-on.

It’s never too late to pursue your passion.
