Hi LaShaunda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started back in November 2017. Which was the same year that my Mother passed. I was so distraught. So heartbroken. It almost took me to a place where I didn’t want to go. But with the help of Her, my mom, and God, Legacy Accessories was birthed.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not necessarily smooth. I would say consistent. With dedication and support from others keep me going.

What do I do? Well, I make jewelry, head wraps, hair bonnets, and now clothing. All of those items are self-taught. I have never done anything like this. EVER!
The one thing that I’m most proud of is me believing in myself. Believing that I can think out the box. I do not and will not have a ceiling.
What sets me apart from others is my personality. I love what I do. I love showing others that they too can have the same love and passion that I have. Someone told me the same and look where I am now.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
YES!! Huge shifts. My Mom told me if your dreams don’t scare you then they’re not big enough. So, saying that, I would like to get in some type of partnership with others to create a CO-OP. Which was actually my sister’s idea. She has a business as well.
Getting like-minded small businesses that want to open a business as well as serve our community by hosting events for children as well as the less fortunate.
