Today we’d like to introduce you to Aja and James.
Aja and James, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Aja and I met on Instagram. We ended up having the chance to work together on a project and realized that we worked really well together and enjoyed each other a lot. So we decided to start a business together. We chose our business concept based on the lifestyle that each of us wanted to live and the profession we were both already working in and went from there!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m not sure that starting a business from scratch is ever smooth. However, Aja and I work really well together so even when we have experienced hiccups or setbacks we were able to keep a positive mindset based on our confidence that we could make it through whatever the challenge was as a team.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Flexy is essentially a staffing agency for local apartment communities and buildings looking for health/fitness instructors, classes, events, conferences! We work with over 70 businesses and communities with our team of 15 instructors and massage therapists to provide those professional services.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
People are always surprised to know that Aja and I were basically business partners before we were friends. We had never met in person prior to working on our first project together! We always joke about how obviously risky that was but it was meant to be. We’ve been in business for over 4 years now, we have become great friends… more like family, and still going strong all around!
