Check Out Latica Horton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latica Horton.

Hi Latica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Real estate has been a long-time passion of mine for as long as I can remember. With a background in Hospitality, I moved to Kansas City from North Carolina with my little family in 2016 and fell in love with the area. While I did work odd jobs from home, it wasn’t fulfilling. Covid hit and I thought to myself, there is no better time than now to do something that I love. I knew I wanted to get into real estate, but I also wanted it to be so much more. I, too, wanted to create something that I could eventually pass down to my kids. Once I got licensed in August 2020, Nestled in KC was born. Nestled in KC is your go-to for ALL THINGS Real Estate + Lifestyle. Whether people are buying or selling a home, new to the area, want to know what’s going on around the Kansas City Metro, or need tips of any kind – I am happy to assist in any way that I can!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely not the smoothest of roads but I made it and am still making it. I’m not even gonna lie, it was rough at times. Especially coming from North Carolina to a brand new city and not knowing a single soul. I struggled with not knowing how I was going to get my name out there; just exposure in general and finances. It’s scary taking a leap of faith when you have two small kids. I have noticed though that with time comes growth, and I’ve already learned so much from this journey that I can take with me for life.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am your local Realtor® and I’m known for being a great communicator. Most people call it talkative, but hey! 🙂 I want to do the work for you if you’re in the market to buy or sell a home. I haven’t been in real estate long, but my passion and drive motivate me get things done. I mean what I say and I say what I do. That in itself sets me apart from others. I’m most proud that I’ve gotten this far, that I’ve learned much more than I thought along the way and I am excited for what’s coming.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that I learned along my journey is patience. Not everything comes easy. Everything happens for a reason and within time. I’ve learned that until that time happens, it’s important to have a better attitude while waiting.
