Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Pollitt.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
Growing up, I always loved decorating Christmas cookies. It was my favorite holiday tradition. I started seeing photos of custom cookies on social media and wanted to try my hand at it. Once you start, you can’t stop 🙂

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, there is a learning curve to custom sugar cookies. They are truly not easy and are incredibly time-consuming! In the beginning, it was a lot of trial and error, working on icing consistency, getting the perfect bake time, and managing the overall time spent working on them. There have been plenty of failures along the way, but also a lot of fun successes!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make custom cookies! I am an at-home baker who creates cookies for my customers at various events (showers, birthday parties, graduations, etc.) Something that a lot may not know about my business, my nickname growing up was baby love, which is where my business name comes from. And my cookie recipe is a family recipe, the recipe I grew up eating at my grandma’s house, so it is very special to me.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
A memory from when I was little, well, apart from my love of decorating sugar cookies from an early age, I also loved eating them! I remember sneaking out to my grandparent’s garage in the wintertime because that’s where they kept the Tupperware of cookies. They lived in Wisconsin, so it was cold in the garage, and they kept the food nicely. I would sneak out there when no one was paying attention so that I could eat a cookie or two 🙂
