Hi, Brynne; thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
This journey started with a vision of a picture-perfect party for my little girl and the decision to take on the decorating for myself. I always admired these beautiful balloon garlands all over Pinterest, but I needed to gain experience. With no industry knowledge, I brought on my sister-in-law for creative help and built our first balloon garland. With nothing more than a $20 online kit, the air in my lungs, and a vision, we tackled our first party. It wasn’t perfect, but I got the itch. This led to more parties for friends and family to expand on what I thought was a hobby. After a handful of events, my “hobby” became a passion, and I saw that this stay-at-home mom might be on to something! I was hooked, and my attention immediately shifted to perfecting my style while trying to book events through social media. After hours of research and practice, I knew it was time to take a leap of faith. I officially launched Presh just over a year ago; it was one of the greatest decisions of my life.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wish the road had always been smooth, but I have had many learning moments. Learning how to run the operations of a business, balance my schedule, and still fulfill my highest calling as a mom was a challenge in itself. I’ve also learned that I’m my own biggest critic. I’ve had to battle my self-doubt and learn to look back on how far my craft has come with my head held high. Starting any business has its headwinds, but the lessons learned have been worth every minute.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Presh specializes in custom balloon decor that captures our client’s vision. Balloons have been around forever but these aren’t your traditional balloons. We love to create modern and unique balloon and backdrop setups that bring that wow factor to any party, whether it’s a baby shower , first birthday or corporate event.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Without a doubt, my desire is always to improve my work. Continuous education is essential for the growth of any small business!
