Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Wise.

Hi, Breanna; we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Breanna Wise—founder of Skin Wise, wife, mother of two, and lover of a perfectly curated latte. If you’ve found yourself here, you’ve stumbled upon what I consider to be my true muse. With a background in intensive care and dermatology, I think my work as a nurse injector combines my all-encompassing love of art and science. I created Skin Wise to provide an aesthetic experience I couldn’t find and knew I’d love right here in southwest Missouri. Skin Wise is intentionally cultivated on my conservative and natural approach to the industry. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe and transparent place to receive treatments that enhance how you look and, ultimately, how you feel.

It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Waking up every day doing something I am passionate about has been the best part of opening Skin Wise; however, It has only sometimes been a smooth road. Owning and operating a business comes with many obstacles, but the gumption and tenacity build a successful brand. Taking the initial risk would be the most challenging part, but continuing to develop a brand that feels authentic, welcoming, and unique is the biggest challenge. The aesthetic industry is booming, and with the rise in treatments, I strive to continue to create a culture my business can stand on and my employees can stand behind. Some of the biggest struggles have been navigating the ever-changing industry beauty standards, learning that only some clients are the right fit, and setting pride aside to know when to course-correct when mistakes have been made.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
When I created Skin Wise, I dreamed of it being a place unlike any other in our area. I wanted to cultivate a feeling of luxury, which also created a feeling of comfort + serenity. I wanted a team that embodied knowledge but felt like talking to a best friend. A dreamy place where you can kick your feet up and feel your best self. Skin Wise hones in on all-encompassing treatment plans, and we pride ourselves on educating our clients on the most personalized and best-suited treatments. As a staff, we push results over revenue. We specialize in luxury treatments that are intentional, approachable, and never over-complicated. We are most known for our conservative and well-thought-out treatments, relationship with clients, knowledgeable staff, and cozy chic office space. What do you think about happiness?
My family. As a mother of two young girls and a wife to a fantastic husband. My family and the time spent with them bring me the most joy. Nothing in life compares to the love I have found in motherhood, yet none of it would be possible without first finding an incredibly loving and supportive husband.
