Today we’d like to introduce you to Dina Readinger.
Hi Dina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Dina Readinger’s journey has been characterized by tenacity and adaptability from her childhood aspiration. A naturally talented athlete, Readinger worked tirelessly to secure starting positions in volleyball, fueling her dream of representing the U.S. Olympic volleyball team. However, her path took a turn when she realized that once a cherished ambition, marine biology might offer a different financial stability than she sought. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry, she ventured into nuclear medicine technology, pioneering the establishment of the first nuclear cardiology lab in the Midwest. In 1993, Readinger confronted a pivotal choice, transitioning from the pharmaceutical industry’s stability to uncertainty, symbolized by a relocation to St. Louis following an acquisition. Despite initial trepidation, this leap proved advantageous. Remaining steadfast in her pursuit of excellence, after retiring in 2015, she founded ACE Coaching Company and Diagnostic Thinking. Fueled by her experiences navigating mergers and acquisitions, these ventures aimed to empower leaders and tackle the pervasive issue of “broken thinking” in corporate America. After moving back to Springfield, MO, and post-pandemic challenges, I decided to take the leap and join Zoomin Groomin, a mobile pet grooming business with a multiunit franchise serving pets and pet parents with three vans and three counties in Missouri. Her journey took a new turn when she crossed paths with Sharon Weinstein during the COVID pandemic. Sharing a background in healthcare, they found their experiences and leadership approaches remarkably aligned. Together, they’ve harnessed their synergies to coach high-performing leaders across industries, embodying the spirit of transformation and collaboration, and have written two books. One is out called “Think Differently,” and the next will launch in May 2024 and is called “Healing Healthcare,” a monumental task of gathering the solutions to the broken healthcare system through the experiences of other nurse leaders worldwide.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Dina’s biggest struggles were moving to a city with two small children after a divorce and starting life over with a new city, a new company, and a new manager, and the myriad of unknowns were fueled by fear of what’s next. Change is always a struggle when met with uncertainty and challenges her faith. For many baby boomers, staying at one job for a long time was seen as being loyal and a good performer for the company. After years with GSK and creating high-ranking teams, Dina could have seen that 2015 would leave her retiring much sooner than she planned at the asset handoff of GKS and Novartis in 2015. Dina leaped into a new career of coaching and completed her EMBA at Washington University in 2018 after her corporate career. She looked for new ways to experience business. The biggest challenge in business is ensuring that you are solving the “right problem” at the “right time.” I designed a process to help herself and others overcome barriers to success; it starts with how we think!

The new process proved to move women into leadership roles faster with more pay and strategies to break the glass ceiling. This opportunity with HBA led me to Sharon Weinstein, Dina’s new business partner, who is opening doors for “healing our current healthcare system” by connecting with nurse leaders worldwide. These leaders are contributing authors to our book, which will be released in 2024. ACE Coaching Company is a concierge coaching practice for leaders who want more for their company and their teams. Sharon Weinstein and I offer many services, such as speaking, training, and development opportunities for creating an inclusive culture, optimizing sales teams, and leadership development. We also can address most people’s immediate needs: work-life balance, making more money, reducing stress, strategies for reducing conflict at home and work, and the ultimate killer, burnout.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
Dina is looking for strategic partnerships where we can serve as referral partners and businesses that may be startups or existing businesses that need boosts in revenue. One should do it because that’s good business. Dina also looks for keynote speaking opportunities, connections with HR and other professionals looking for training and development, and sales executive leadership. Dina also has an extraordinarily successful franchise she started two years ago in the pet industry, Zoomin Groomin, a concierge mobile grooming business and multiunit franchise in Springfield, MO.
