Today we’d like to introduce you to John Bin Kasongo.
Hi John Bin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I come from a humble background, but one thing that has stayed constant is my love for fashion. I love clothes; I love dressing up. If you’re my friend on here, I’m sure you know this. I used to get many compliments on my style, which boosted my confidence and made me know I was doing something right. In 2019, I started college, and just like many college students, I was broke; my account never had more than 100 dollars. I got a refund check for over 500 dollars when I started school. This refund was from all the financial aid I had received. I saw an opportunity, and this was my chance to explore my interests. I had always wanted to create something of my own and be my boss, and this was my chance. 2019, I saw “Diversity Brand” being born. This is a clothing that is designed to highlight. Diversity: The slogan is “Die by representing your Diversity.” Diversity means different things to different people worldwide; they have their own cultures and things that represent their lifestyles. This has been one of my biggest achievements, given that I could start while still a college student and watch it grow. One of my biggest lessons on this journey has been you don’t need big capital to start; start small and watch it grow. Another big one is it’s never too early to Start. Remember, everyone can be an entrepreneur. All you have to do is start. Or whatever you think is most important to start being an entrepreneur. Click the link on the Bio to get yours.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The business is doing well, but the demands from the customers are enormous, and they’re very supportive; the only problem is that the standard of delivering the goods products and quality still needs to be revised. I want more income, which will help me expand the brand.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a professional, I work at the bank as a Senior Personal Banker, where I help customers with their financial needs and fulfill their financial goals. Bank name First Convenience Bank Texas, one of my biggest lessons on this journey has been that you don’t need big capital to start; start small and watch it grow. Another big one is it’s never too early to start. Remember, everyone can be an entrepreneur. All you have to do is Start. Or whatever you think is most important to start being an entrepreneur. Click the link on the Bio to get yours. I am very excited to start this project; even though it has not increased, there’s a perfect time.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important characteristics of my success are energy, passion, and love. Love for the problems that we want to solve as a Diversity Brand because clothes are like foods, and without foods, as human beings, we can’t live without those things. We love our customers and communities worldwide because the goal is to see everyone wearing diverse products. When I see diversity is bigger than that, John is bigger than us as a company because it is like the Nike brand that has been around for 100 years. And when I see this, it will get there worldwide.
