Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonja Beal.
Hi Sonja, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been an entrepreneur most of my life, and my son decided he wanted to start a business, so we began making cookies out of our kitchen! We would stock our truck, set up a table & go out, and sell on the weekends; we noticed we sold out within 2 hours, and after a year, the opportunity was presented to put them in local gas stations.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road for us dealing with the ups and downs of small business, but through it all, we could buy a food truck & expand our business at local events, hospitals, schools, and banks.
We’ve been impressed with Mister DipZ Cookies & Sweet Treats LLC, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Frankie Beal is a 15 yr old CEO operator. I’m the momager who makes everything happen; we serve our community with delicious, sweet, freshly baked gourmet treats for everyone to enjoy.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’m a risk taker. I took my life savings to start this business, coming from nothing and starting with just $100, and bought a food truck. I grew up poor but wanna allow my son to have a better life than me, so I put it all into his business to make things happen for him so he would never have to be hungry again.
