Daily Inspiration: Meet Miquela Martinez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miquela Martinez.

Hi Miquela. Thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Creative energy is a big source and drive in my life. Music, love, photography, and art are ways I have expressed this passion and drive for myself. These gifts have led me to connections, dreams, places, and the present moment today. I am grateful for the people I have met and the tools, resources, and events that have led me to create and share the source of art with the community and the world. Creativity, strength, perseverance, empathy, compassion and commitment are important values to me. This represents my roots, my family and the history of where I come from. Whether that be the family you are born into or the family you create as you live your life. My history has propelled me and given me the courage and strength to keep going and create my dreams. I have made light, beauty, and magic with my life’s pain, events, and challenges. I hope to pass this love and creation to others to help them along their journeys. Creative energy is within all of us in our unique worlds.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life for me is accepting the unknown by trusting in yourself and the opportunity in each moment. The beginning of my young adult life I took on responsibilities to help my family for a time when challenges and suffering were consistent. These experiences that lasted years helped me transform. Experience allows you to stand for your values, beliefs, and you in each given moment. This wisdom gave me the courage to balance responsibility, hardship, pursue my dreams, and the reminder to live. While also helping others create their dreams. I have met wonderful people who have helped me create dreams into physical reality. I have been in spaces that became home and full of opportunities. My challenges have helped me learn from each experience and to apply this wisdom moving forward. Devotion, faith in self and believing in self has helped me far on this road, and I look forward to continuing.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I am a passionate creative who photographs, promotes artists, and is a part of the music/live events industry. Events are everlasting memories. A memory that is uniquely yours forever. They bring people from all backgrounds to enjoy a shared love of creation. This energy has propelled me in the creative field to help people have the most meaningful, fun, and rewarding experiences. Whether that be capturing the energy of the artist, assisting people to have the best experience with a music concert/live event, capturing the energy of spaces, promoting artists’ creations, and creating myself. I have a passion for music, photography, and creativity in all its forms. One of my favorite feelings is the energy of a room, sharing love between the artists and the crowd for the work that brought them together. Seeing people feel free to express themselves with the energy of art is one of my favorite things. I always feel love after such an experience. I love helping create these spaces, moments, and memories with others and sharing them with the world. This is a significant part of my journey of life.”

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some changes you expect to see over the next five to ten years?
The industry is always and forever evolving. I’m excited to see where it shapes growth, expression, and opportunity for all who create. Technology is a big part of this industry and will be a prominent part of its future.
