Hi Padee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved being creative. Growing up, I looked forward to art and music classes the most. My parents bought me my first camera in middle school, and my love for photography has grown. I graduated from Pittsburg State University, majoring in Graphic Communications, because I knew this would open doors for me to continue being creative. I’ve won numerous awards for different artworks with the help of classmates, professors, family, and loved ones. I’m so thankful and blessed to be a photographer.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Looking back, it would’ve helped if I had connected with more creatives and other photographers earlier in my journey. Although I learned a lot of things on my own, overcoming obstacles and photography mistakes pushed me out of my comfort zone so that I can now strive always to do better.

I’m a Hmong Creative who loves to create art with the people I meet. I specialize in portrait photography but love other artworks such as drawing, music, videography, and product photography. Photography is my primary medium of expression because I learn about the people I work with and capture memories for many unique clients. I also get to showcase my culture with photo/video projects. I’m always open to trying different styles of photography/editing, which makes me flexible when working with others. I bring visions to life while creating beautiful images!
Do you have any advice for those just starting?
Surround yourself with people who will motivate you to grow and inspire you. Fail forward! I always remind myself of a quote: “Strive for progression, not perfection.”
