Hi Markcus, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, music has always been my passion. As the years passed, I stuck with it and improved in all areas. I started to see it was more about the business side the older I got. While perfecting my craft, I started to pay more attention to my plan to generate income from my hobby. To this day, I’m still looking for ways to grow independently. Becoming successful is the goal, but I’ll never forget I make music for the love of music.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a challenging experience from the beginning—some services you will have to teach yourself from scratch. Also, the business changes rapidly. So it’s important to keep up. One of my biggest challenges to this day is marketing. There’s only so much you can do yourself. I’ve been scammed many times, trusting someone else with my marketing. So my best advice is to learn as much as you can yourself. And be very careful when you hire someone to do a task for you. Your brand represents you so make sure everything is legit and professional.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Music is one of many artistic things I choose to do. I also Model, Act, and have a clothing line. I am most proud of my motivation and dedication. It’s been a long journey, and I see so much growth in myself. I’ll say one of the things that set me apart would be my approach. I stand on being different. Taking someone else’s format and using it for myself is not an option. Finding my formula through trial and era works best for me. No one else can be you, so be the best you.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The unity in our city is a bittersweet thing. At times we can come together; then, at other times, we divide each other as the world changes; times change also. So with time, I see success throughout the city.
