Exploring Life & Business with Taylor Jacobs of Chiropractic House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Jacobs.

Hi Taylor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
My Fiance, Dr. Garrett Wilder, and I fell in love with family-based Chiropractic Care and went to Logan University after completing our undergraduate at Saint Louis University. We chose Logan Because many of the techniques taught at this university were specific to pediatrics and pregnancy, which is where our heart is. We graduated and trained under a doctor in Indianapolis who focused on Neurolgically-based corrective chiropractic. Still, our home is Overland Park, so we returned home in 2022 to open our practice, Chiropractic House. We serve pediatrics, pregnant moms, and whole families (as young as 2 weeks old to 87 (our oldest patient).

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We are new business owners. However, I grew up in a family of small business owners (my grandpa started a Custom Alignment auto shop in Stilwell, and my parents currently own and run it.). My dad always told me being a business owner isn’t as glamorous as it looks, and I grew up seeing the rough road of a family that relies on a small business. Going into this, I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but 100% worth it! Our biggest struggle is getting our name out of Overland Park, as many chiropractors exist. Once people walk into our office and see how different we are and how much we care, we have overcome that hurdle, and it is pure love from there.

We’ve been impressed with Chiropractic House, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are a neurologically-focused Corrective Care chiropractic and functional medicine office. We aim to bring a balanced, holistic lifestyle to our Overland Park community. We are more than just treating symptoms; our approach targets and resolves issues before they arise, resulting in a better, stronger, healthier you – from the inside out.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Our patients have been our biggest cheerleaders, and we are incredibly grateful for each of them! We pour our hearts into them daily, and they share our message with their friends and families! Almost every member of our office has at least one, if not all, of their family members under care at our office.
