Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Halwe.

Hi Katie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always loved to travel. In college, I sold spring break trips so that I could go for free! Since graduation (many years ago), I have pursued a few other professions. The most recent being real estate. I spent 10 years helping people in the Kansas City area buy and sell real estate. For many years, I found real estate very rewarding, but the most joy I found was when planning my trips or helping others plan theirs. In 2022, I hung up my real estate license and pursued my passion by turning travel into a full-time business.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been fairly smooth. I did a lot of research before I started, and that helped. I am a big believer in business coaching. I hired a coach in real estate, which made all the difference. I was so fortunate to have found a coaching program specifically designed for travel agents. The program helped me build the business the right way from the start. Don’t get me wrong, I have made some investments into various programs that have yet to pay off, but I am much further ahead than I would have had I not hired a coach.

Imagine Travel was created to help travelers realize and experience the vacation of their dreams. After stepping outside of my vacation comfort zone, I realized it was time to help other busy professionals do the same because I know how challenging it can be when you don’t have the time or the resources to plan a truly ‘wow’ experience that’ll leave you feeling rested, recharged and relaxed, when you’re ready to try something else besides ‘the usual,’ my team and I would love to help you plan your next getaway and experience a vacation that’s beyond your wildest imagination.

Our initial consultation call is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share your Beyond Imagination vacation. We aim to explore all your travel possibilities and ensure we’re a good fit. If you’re Team Yes, we’ll send over an agreement and make it official.

RESEARCH & REVIEW
This is where the magic happens – based on our conversations, we get to work researching and planning your dream vacation. You’ll receive all the details in a proposal review, and we’ll hop on a call to discuss any questions or changes.

GET IT IN THE BOOKS
Once you sign off on the proposed itinerary, it’s time for confirmation. And depending on the timeframe, you can expect check-in emails to ensure you’re all set come travel day! We’ll make sure your accommodations and experiences are all confirmed.

TAKE FLIGHT
The day has finally arrived – your dream vacation is ready for takeoff. While we may not physically be there with you, rest assured that we’ll be available to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible for you and your loved ones. And yes, please take as many pictures as possible – we can’t wait to see them when you return!

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those just starting.
Find a great coach/mentor! Get involved in mastermind groups; don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes; it’s ok. Learn from them, don’t repeat them, and move on! I spent a lot of money on a few (costly) marketing/advertising projects that I had hoped to work out better. If I could do that over, I would. I would invest that money into people and relationships I had already built.
